I think I have an AF problem with my Olympus C-740UZ, but I have adjusted to it. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this phenomena. If I activate the zoom while the camera is pointing down the AF doesn't work. It tries, but it can't bring the picture into focus. The AF works OK when articulating the zoom with the camera level or pointing up. When I forget and activate the zoom with the camera in the down position I can correct it by pointing the camera upwards, zooming all the way out, and then back in. When I do this I think I can hear a gear slip or slap. Any thoughts?

I have taken about 10,00 photos between my C-700 and C-750, and I don't remember that ever happening.
