Not only all Canadian, but ALL from Toronto.
Imagine that?
Congrats to the winners! Well done!
Another coincidence: All 3 winners used the Olympus C4000! Amazing!

You're right! All three are Pascals. And all are using the same camera. Man, that would never work in my house. |

Ok, I think this is one of those moments in my life that will never repeat again. I am going to run and hide in a corner now, cause my son had outscored me for the third time. I will have to hide the camera soon :-))
We shot these posters in one day. My husband snuck it out early morning to get that neat glowing tree. It's pretty simple tree - I've never thought about it that way.
Then I went for walk with Nick, to get some nice frosty shots. I concentrated on droplets of water, and my son was pulling the camera from my hands to shoot the frozen leaves and flowers. He was covered with mud afterwards.
Oh, we had fun. I almost lost my entry, as I received a DQ request early in the challenge. It was approved later on to my big relief. We joked about our high scores the whole week, but never did it cross my mind that we could end up with 3 ribbons.
Thank you everyone for the great votes and wonderful comments.

Hopefully this is the start of family wins. Not just 1 family member but the entire family.
This is so cool that family members can find something they all enjoy. Congratulations.

At least when your son beat you he was old enough to read, unlike mine.
Congratulations! This is a great family activity ... one of the few where the kids can be on a roughly equal footing with the paretnts. |

Actually this is one of the very few activities that my son and I anjoy together. Nick is usually a big couch potato, playing with play station and computer most of his waking hours. So when we go out photographing, I really love it. He is growing up so fast and slowly creeping into the teenagehood, so I pray it will last a bit longer. It gives us chance to talk about lots of things that wouldn't normally come up. It really brings us much closer. Besides, it's nice to have someone to carry my tripod for me :-))
My hubby shoots mostly by himself, cause of work-time restrictions. Well, that's about to change for me as well. I am starting new full-time job tomorrow morning, so my time with the camera will decrease proportionally. Time to take a break from DPC :-))

Precisely the point. The technical knowledge and the photos are "gravy." |
