If you do not understand a photo should you state that fact in comments.
Should you vote or just skip the photo?
For example the photo of a car tail lite. I do not under stand people will say good photo? Its the photo of a tail lite. People say a photo of wildlife looks like a snap shot? It is wildlife will not pose.
Is it just that i am a redneck I do not understand. I want to vote and be fair but I do not want to bore people with stupid comments.

It's your opinion...you're allowed to have your very own! It may or may not be different than others, don't fret over that. Vote and comment how you feel about a photo, how it moves you, how well done or not done you think it is...just be fair and diplomatic.
Most of us will appreciate the fact that you took the time to leave your thoughts. A good portion of these people will even take the time to consider what you said.

The trick is to take the everday and the mundane and make it fresh and beautiful. The subject doesn't have to be one of the seven wonders of the world to qualify as a good photo.
But if you truly don't understand a photo, why withhold your judgment? Isn't it the photographer's job to convey a message to you? If you don't receive the message, perhaps the photographer has failed at that and the photo should be judged accordingly.
