I am in the process of building my smugmug and I need to find out if this link is pointing to my login page or my homepage. When I click on it I get my already loged in page. I havn't started with galleries yet I want to make sure everything else is up and running first.

It takes us to your home page, but says no galleries are there yet.

Have a look at my SM site: //www.penrodstudios.com It will give you some ideas about what is possible with customizing. You can find all the how-tos on dgrin's forums.

No, we can't see those buttons - only you see those because you are logged in.

Dude, You have your full size originals up there (Of the truck anyway).

I would seriously try and avoid that!

Click on Customize underneath the gallery and scroll down to find "originals". Make sure you change it to "No" unless you want people to be able to download your originals for free. I would also recommend telling it to protect your images so that people can't right click on them.

I always load my original size - so I don't have to reload another size for ordering, but I set my galleries to not display that full-size original (on most galleries, there are a couple of exceptions).

I upload full size images as well. In that sense, smugmug functions as an "offsite backup" for me. So even if someone stole my computer, or my house burned down, I still have my customer's images.

That's interesting I was wondering how that would work.

Anyone know if you can use an image as your header on smugmug?

Yes, but I think you need to have either a Power User or Professional account.

Check out DGrin.com for all kinds of smugmug customization info and help.

Exactly what you did david. I have my header that is a photo, but it's just putting a red blank box with a red x in it I am not sure where or how to upload the photo. I've searched Dgrin, but the search won't bring up anything close. Could you point me in the right direction? Thanks Jonathan

I won't be arround for a couple of hours I'm going fishing with my wife. I appericiate any help I can get.

Here's what my header looks like:

[div align="center"]
[img src="//www.dterryphotography.com/photos/84590482-L.jpg" width="800" height="187" border="0" hspace="0" vspace="0"]
[/div]

I changed < to [, and > to ], so that you can see the header without the browser interpreting it.
