Sounds like lots of fun voting on that.

I'd love to see the description ask for a landmark/view that a local would recognize.

Then the guess would be even more enjoyable.

That's a good description. Something that isn't as painfully obvious as the Eiffel tower or the Empire State Building, but something a lot more recognizable than somebody's backyard.

But would you end up voted down if your town had a less than famous landmark, or by those less-educated that don't recognise yours?

Probably... then again, some will always find SOME excuse to vote low, so I guess it doesn't matter :) Okay, I'm up for it!

Thats sounds really cool. I'm down for it!

This could be "My Corner of the World".

Free Study then, how do the voters know whether you took the image locally or not?

I am not wild about this. Just like Where's Waldo, it becomes less about the quality of the photo and more about guessing.

I would have to disagree with this premise.

In viewing where's Waldo, the issue of prime consideration for me was still the quality of the image and the initiative demonstrated by the artist.

Locating Waldo was simply an added feature that made the voting aspect more pleasurable.

To each his own I guess.

This is a great idea, but what if you live in a town with a population of a measley 10,000?? I mean, we have famous stuff here but no one really knows "where" it is until I explain it for 45 minutes.

Do you think we would be able to use the nearest big city or are we going with a state??

Well know landmarks are very much a target, but there are lota of subtle things that can tell the tale.

I have a large # of comments on my entry, most of which say Waldo isn't hard enough to find. I guess I'm just frustrated with this type of challenge right now.

Nobody - given that your given location is "Nowhere" I concede that this challange would be difficult for you......
