| Could anyone tell me why my filter gallery, and about six other tools won't highlight in photoshop so that I can use them? |

| That's the problem. How can I change the mode to 32bit? |

If the tools didn't work in 16-Bit, they probably aren't going to work in 32-Bit either.
Probably will need to switch to 8-Bit mode: Image, Mode, 8 Bits/Channel.
