I was at Milwaukee Summerfest yesterday(my client sponsored the whole thing for the team).
Came across this guy who was doing some tricks, and this pose looked hilarious to me..look for his third hand ;)

I call it Bummerfest. however I heard they have done a few things to keep the crowds from bottlenecking which was one of my biggest gripes.
Pretty cool shots.

Thanks Brian.
We went there around lunch time and were there only for 2 Hrs..The crowd looked Ok to me during that time...I don't know the history though as I am new in here.
I was expecting some more cool Harley's to be there..there were only a couple or three. |

As a local, I've been to Summerfest numerous times, dating back to the early 1980s. It can be a blast, if you don't mind big crowds. There is more music in one place than nearly anyplace else.
The only real "bummer" for me is the main stage (Marcus Amphitheater). They charge an arm and a leg for the acts, which in and of itself is OK, if the market will sustain that then fine... but the acoustics of that place are absolute crap. How they could design/build a venue specifically for music and have it come out sounding *that* bad just boggles the mind. So I won't pay those prices to sit and listen to something that sounds like it's being played in a metal barrel.
But the other stages are fun, the grounds are well-kept, food is very good if a little expensive, guaranteed to see a lot of worthy candid "party" shots, easy to get close enough to shoot some of the bands... what's not to like?
