I have had a few members mention to me of late about the quality of comments on their challenge entries. It appears that the quality has noticeably risen lately.
I wonder why? Is it due to all the encouragement threads...like the OOBIE/YAPPIE and other such threads...or have people just become nicer and more confident in their mannerisms?
I don't know...but whatever the case...give everyone a pat on the back.

I do believe your efforts are in there as well - you offered a great incentive with the awards. |

No Deb. I don't take credit for what others did. They chose to make those comments...and therefore they deserve the credit. I merely gave them a place to show their achievements. Actually I can't take credit for that...as that belongs to the site and its creators....I am just a member like everyone else.

I don't know if my comments are part of the improvement or not but I know I've gotten a lot more confident as I've been learning a lot more lately. Part of that is from the Oregon GTG where I learned from some of the sights great experienced photogs and then from reading books on photography and last but certainly not least, from my DPL teammates.
With my newfound confidence on the heals of the Macro Puzzle challenge where I had fun trying to guess and then the new commenters club gave me the kicker to keep at it. I'm now enjoying looking for Waldo and hope there are more challenges that are fun like that. I find that commenting on the technicals and content of an entry comes easily when I first look at it from a different perspective like trying to find Waldo or figuring out what the subject is.
