We purchase prints very easy, type numbers and submit !
Why we can't pay membership like that.
I have to use nasty PayPal,as soon as I open it my machine got bombarded with pop-up ads !
Also, I click on forgot password and no new one have been sent to my e-mail yet ! |

Pits, you have a good point. I just sent in my membership dues by personal check/snail mail to the admins because after hearing some of the horror stories I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and closed my account with Paypal. I wish there was another way of paying and don't see why we can't pay using regular credit cards. There is a very secure way of doing that with temporary credit card numbers that are assigned to a transaction by your credit card company. The payee simply assigns a dollar and time limit to the transaction. The admins get their money as fast, and I get peace of mind. |

I'm guessing that the print payments are done through ezprints gateway and that maybe dpchallenge doesn't have their own. You have to pay for that sort of thing. But Paypal doesn't have any pop-ups so maybe you should check your spyware, etc. |

Here's what I'd like to see. Have admin set up a DPCPRINT called, for example, MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL. The "print" itself is business-card size, and retails for U.S. $28.00 ( same as the annual membership fee + a modest printing/mailing fee ). When you "buy" it ( with a credit card ), $25.00 goes to DPChallenge for the membership renewal, and the other $3.00 goes to pay for printing and mailing the "print" to you. And just what is the "print"? How about a business card that identifies the bearer as a being "on assignment" for DPCPrints or DPChallenge. Might be handy in explaining why you're where you are taking pictures of what you're taking pictures of. And providing a little publicity for DPChallenge, as well.

This part introduces an unacceptable legal liability situation (research the forums under "press pass" for more detailed discussion. The rest of your idea could work ... it could be a simple membership card. Maybe it could be a choice of the winning photos from the Stickers competitions. |

Duly noted. I didn't envision it as conveying the privileges of a press pass, and can appreciate the legal aspects. I do like your alternate suggestion of a membership card of sorts. Future challenge???

Might have to have "special rule" where the winner(s) waives their share of the print commission, or it becomes a challenge with a prize. |

Ok,here is the story:
I forgot my Pay-pal password and I did click on that link, still waiting for new one to come in mail!
I do have Ad-ware from Lavasoft {which is not great}, i never get pop ups from DPChallenge web site, but I got 4 from Pay Pal !
What kind of secure web-site is that !? |

If you are getting unexplained pop-ups, you may want to install and run SpyBot S&D. Make sure you run the "update" function after you install so you get all of the latest and greatest checks. |

Just for the heck of it, I just requested my password and it was sent instantly. Are you sure you had yours sent to the right email address? Is there a possibility that it was dumped in a junk mail folder or something? |
