I don't know how to propose to do this, but they would be cool site features :-)

I like it! â€Â¦ I need another icon!!! But not too many â€Â¦ if there's too many out there, they lose value - like baseball cards â€Â¦ or money â€Â¦ or anything really ;P

If the powers-that-be are interested in this idea, I could have Team Suck vote on whether they are willing to hand over OOBIEs and YAPPIEs to a more general vote.

I don't know. I like keeping it as a Team Suck thing. It's a major contribution from our ragtag little bunch, and those that win them have the option of placing the gif on their profile (which most do!).

I dunno.

It's not that I think the site should or shouldn't do it, but I've always kinda thought it was "unique" because TS did it, and they tend to look at things "differently."

So, my vote would be "no," not because I think it is a bad idea, but because the "general" membership votes and comments as it is, and TS is able to give it their own "twist" to it.

Would be interesting to have something towards honorable mentions that arent 4-10. But more in the best in this and best in that and out of the box.

I agree as well. It's a nice TS contribution and it should stay that way.

However, we could perhaps incorporate the idea in a small fashion by designating a panel of judges that includes both TS and non-TS members, that gets "refreshed" from time to time....all nominations on a weekly basis get voted on by this panel.

Not so sure the OoBie would work site wide. We know how well OOB goes over in voting anyway. But, YAPPIE, night work well and encourage commenting.

i have no idea what an oobie or yappie is, but I would say NO.
