I am having a bit of a look at a P&S to replace my oldie Canon S230. I am looking for something extra and the 16:9 aspect on this caught my eye. It has RAW & manual which is a bonus for me but no hotshoe or sync that I can see which is a shame.

Panasonic LX2

Anyone have thoughts on this one? How is the delay on the focus acquire -> fire -> take image and what do you love & hate about it?

I have one and I love it. It didn't gat a great reiview in most places because of low light noise issues, but I haven't found it to be that bad. I love the crispness of the Leica lens. Try and get the black one if you can as it looks awesome! I have the silver one... :-(

I love the panoramic wide angle. It's a great camera to carry around and it is solid as a rock. It has lots of nice features for those of us that like to tweak. 10MP...widescreen...I love mine.

I'd love the Leica version for status :-) but I couldn't justify an extra few hundred bucks for a badge...though I wish I could!
