Hi there,

I've got a Z612 from Kodak. No pro camera by any means but I like it. Anyways, I don't believe I had this problem in the past but lately the top left corner is darkened. I read somewhere that things might have gotten moved around in the system causing this. I read it's normal if it's in all 4 corners but not just in one. What should I do? I don't have a repair center within 5 hours of my place.

Do you have an example you can show?

Here are some pics. I didn't think they were in the zoomed up photos but they are showing in Macro. I noticed that sometimes it doesn't show in certain zoomed conditions. It really seems to depend. But one things for sure. Can't win on a basic edit contest with these photos.

First of all, you can crop so don´t be so hasty in making assumptions, this is a small handicap and easily overcome if you want to enter basic editing challenges.

Secondly, looks like something is physically blocking that part of the lens, I notice something similar when I screw on too many filters on lenses and use them at their widest settings. Is anything in the way on the lens, I don´t know your camera but some have an automatic lens cover that can get stuck and not 100% withdraw like it should. Some debri on the lens? Something in that corner on the inside of the lens you notice?

No there isn't anything on there. It's a removable cap. So you're saying I can crop in Basic Challenges right? Well then maybe I'll do that for now and get it sent out when I have a chance. First baby is on the way in about a month or so so I kind of hesitate to send it out although I can always use our old standby.

I also cleaned the lens. Just about seems like the edge of the lens itself is in the way. I even see it in the preview screen and EVF as well. Just thinking maybe somehow it got bumped just off center(the sensor)
