for around $400-$500 any suggestions?

Virtually any lens can be a "landscape lens". You'll have to be more specific as to your expectations from the lens you're looking for.

hmmmm, im still learning all this stuff, is there any specific lens that would maintain crisper images under longer exposure speeds?

the nikon 20mm 2.8 falls in your price range. would even have some money left over to buy a nice CP filter for it,

Landscape photography is often associated with super-wide angle (10-15 mm. range) lenses. In my personal experience, however, anything wider than 16 mm. is usually too wide and rarely useful. In the last 3 years I've been shooting somewhat seriously, I've wished I'd had a lens wider than 18 mm. in maybe 10 occasions. But I quite often wish I had a lens in the 100-400 mm. range. My advice would be that before parting with your money you continue to shoot with the 18-70 (Terrific lens) that I see in your profile until you determine exactly what you need for your purposes.
