I've had many point and shoots â€Â¦ good quality but usually a $500+ price tag. I told my wife the Nikon s200 would be good. However, very grainy and not much control and not very good images to be frank. Anyone have great experience with anything under 250$??

The Canon powershots are really nice- I have a 2mp s200 and love it. The PowerShot A630 (8.0 Megapixel, 4x Optical) camera has good reviews and is less than 200 bucks

Canon SD1000 is good. No manual controls but that's why I spent so much on an SLR.

Hit eBay for a Canon Elan 7E; Add a 50mmf1.8 and your all set. Maybe I misunderstood the question :-)
