Finally, something has gone full circle and gotten back to the place where it should have been.
Today I will (hopefully) hand over my Panasonic FZ-30 to my daughter, for whom I originally bought the camera in January 2006. She never actually got it as my wife thought it would not fit into her handbag and that she needed something smaller. So I kept the FZ-30 and started back on the photo trail. What a journey :-) and still on it.
Charging the batteries and turning it on brought back a host of pleasant memories - and reminded my just how heavy my new gear is in comparison. I also realised why a full zoom f/2.8 lens is such a good idea.
A bitter-sweet moment is some ways but good to see the camera finally in the hands of the person it was intended for. |

| Neat story! And look where it brought you, that little camera... So glad it did, too! |

Yeah, me too. Shame I cannot make the European GTG as it would have been good to meet you but the tax man had other ideas :-( |

| I plan to hang out in Europe for awhile, with a slight detour to the Middle East for a short bit, but at some point I *will* head on over your way so we'll meet then. Deal? |
