I think it'll keep going up for a while. I've made $12,340.00 on it so far. :) If it starts to go down in a bit, I'm going to dump it and take the cash. Evan Almighty has lost me $10k today...that movie had better be good this weekend.

So much for holding on to Pirates 3. The movies delist and cash out 4 weeks after opening in wide release. The delist happens on Monday, so the Pirates 3 run is over.

For those wanting a small tip...buy up the Blockbuster Warrant for Knocked Up at $80mil. It's already broken $90mil in gross so you can't lose.

i had a rough couple of days but my patience is paying off. I am up over $150,000 today. I have a good bit invested Evan Almighty so heres hoping it does well.

a few things to know. on Sunday after a films release the movies stock price is adjusted to the weekend box office times 2.8 so i bought the stock for 101. if it does $45 million the stock price will go to $126. the first movie did $67 in its first 3 days. but I don't expect that much.

Also pay attention to the calender. you can buy good stuff right when it first comes out. the pirates four is a good example. it was recently released at around $100. the last movie just cashed out at around $274 so as a long term investment it seems like a sure thing.

Ratatouille $50 call and put are still at $2.00 so if you think it will do more than $52 million or less than $48 million its opening weekend it is a good time to buy. |

Can someone explain the whole shorting and covering aspect of things? The help section is pretty vague, at least to me, on this.

 Thanks

Shorting is sort of the opposite of buying. With buying, you're expecting the stock price to go up in order to make a profit. With shorting, you're expecting the stock price to go down for a profit. Covering is when you sell a shorted stock (same concept as selling, but I guess they're using a stock market term).

 Hope this helps.
