If the camera is compatible with either type of card, which one is the better one? SD or SDHC.

SDHC, definitely.

It's the newer generation card. It supports larger sizes (Two terabytes, theoretically, but it'll never happen) and faster transfer rates.

I was thinking the same thing, but then I thought of SmartMedia cards. A better media format will probably come along long before SD cards hit the terabyte mark.

But, in agreement with you, I never would have thought back in 1996 that my computer would have 2 GB of RAM, which is twice as large as my hard drive was at the time.
