Its a later model plastic top but not that new because it still has the Asahi Optical Company logo up top. For those of you that dont know the Pentax K1000 was one of the most sucessful SLR's although it was outdated the day it hit the shelf. It was made between 1976 and 1997. It has a light meter and despite what they say its pretty fast.

I payed 90 for the whole getup its in great smooth working order. The Sigma is worth 90 alone.

The suprise was, I thought I was getting a Takamur 70-200, but what came was an autofocus Sigma 70-210 which has a manual aperture ring great for use both on the K1000 and the K10d im ordering.

Some more detailed shots

The one triangle filter fitted to my point and shoot using a 58mm adapter and 52mm step

Ebay Linky

Check it out same seller, Comes with a teleconverter. Its a little expensive though. He had a Takamur glass set but looks like he sold it already.

Hey option I just ordered a body cap and two rear caps along with an eye cup.

Got a question the 52mm lens cap is too large for the 50mm lens any guess as to what size the lens threads are? 50mm maybe lmao.

All the Pentax 50's are 49mm... (except for the 1.2s...)

A lot of pentax glass is 49mm filter size. I like that, it simplifies things.

Congrats on the camera and the lens bonus. I haven't used a K1000 but I like my m42 Takumars a lot.
