Is it ok to submit a photo in a contest that was in our portfolio for a couple of days and is now removed?

I'd be leary of it. But I guess it depends on how many views it got as well. If you posted it in a thread, then I wouldn't. But it's been done before (it can cause a lot of uproar).

I'd try to stay clear of it if at all possible.

Yes, that's fine, however if many people saw it and/or commented on it, they could vote you down for breaking anonymity.

What Shannon said. There's no *rule* about it not being seen at all, but anonymity is valued pretty highly here. If it got only limited exposure, I'd personally feel comfortable submitting, but if it got extensive exposure (lots of views and comments) I would think twice. Hope that helps!
