Ok I know this is an old movie. I watched it when it first came out but I was in the middle of a breakup so when all my friends said how funny the movie was I just thought maybe it was my mood that wasn't letting me laugh.

NOT THE CASE....

I finally after all this time watched it again and that was one of the dumbest movies ever. It had like 5 funny haha parts in it. Nothing that made me crack up laughing. I just don't see how people actually thought that movie was hilarious??? I mean everyone I talk to says "OMG that movie was hilarious, that guy with the stapler was so funny" I thought the guy with the stapler was an idiot. He wasn't funny at all.

I just don't get it because I do have that "kind of humor" I just wish I could meet someone, somewhere who thinks that movie was just "ok" not "freakin hilarious"

The funniest part was O-face!

I don't even know why this bothers me so much??? I guess because it seems like I am the only person on Earth who is not amused by this movie.

I think a lot of people like it because they have lived parts of it. If you've never worked in a (dysfunctional) office, a lot of it may not strike you as hilarious, or ironic.

On the other hand, I was thinking about it just the other day as I went searching for my stolen stapler!

your wrong:)

fact is that many find it funny (i do) but i don't get why you are mad that others find it funny. Why do you care? I am sure you like some movies that others think is crap. what are your favorite comedies?

Well, I liked it. I wouldn't say I was rolling on the floor, but I thought it was funny. But in support, I thought American Beauty was so-so, as was Lost in Translation, but everyone else thought they were fantastic.

who said I was mad? I just don't understand why it seems like i'm the only one who doesn't think it's drop on the floor OMG freakin hilarious! I do work in an office. I thought Napoleon Dynamite was funny and I have watched it over and over. But there are people who like it and people who don't like it. But I have not met one person who thinks Office Space isn't funny. I was just curious.

well if you want to see funny, check out Cannibal, the musical. I am not kidding this is the funniest movie ever made. (made by the guys behind south park while they were in college)

I think Office Space is funny only if you've lived it. I watched it and thought it was so hilarious that i nearly peed myself. It was especially relevant since, at the time, I had a boss much like the one in the movie and there were many parallels between my job and the one in the movie.

My wife, on the other hand, doesn't work in an office, has never had a job or a boss like that and found the movie only so-so.

BTW, did you know that the movie drove Swingline to offer a red stapler? They got so many calls asking for a red desk stapler after the movie came out that they started making them in red. The one in the movie was a regualr black stapler that was painted red by the prop department.

You'll never be able to laugh at this fine piece of comedy because you're subconsciously still in love. You need to seek closure with this guy. Find him and have one last night of wild hoochie-koochie, then kick him in the junk and leave. Only then will you be able to enjoy this movie.
;-)

Cannibal is crazy...very weird and extremely funny.

Oh and Office space is just so true all over the board...that's why it's so funny. Perfect casting, just an all around great movie.

Yes...every time you see this movie it reminds you that your heart is still broken. So this movie makes you angry instead of happy. You have ruined your potential to laugh at it due to you attaching personal emotions to it.

It is still a very funny movieĆ¢€Ā¦but sadly you will never understand that, well unless you do what Slip said.

I saw it when I was in highschool...unknowing of office life. It was as funny then as it is now.

Office space is one of my favourite movies! There are so many cool quotes. The director (Mike Judge) was the creator of Beavis and Butthead.

Milton: "And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were merry, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire... "

I thought the movie was hilarious because I could really relate. Especially with the TPS reports which we really had at my company (Technology Project Status) reports and it was always a big deal about getting them turned in. The consultants were also very funny although we currently have a head consultant named Bob that is making cuts at our company. :-(

Top 5 movie of all time in my book.

"PC Load Letter?!? What the f**k is PC Load Letter? (mashing on the buttons)"

I just laugh and laugh when I see that.

Dumb like Blair Witch Project, dumb? That was the dumbest movie ever. Over-hyped piece of worthless celluloid.

I've lived Office Space. What's even funnier is that the job I had that was like the movie, I watched the movie ON THE JOB.

I never saw Office Space when it first came out. People tried to convince me to watch it and I managed to catch bits and peices over the years but decided I wouldn't waste my time, based on the 5 minutes that I happened to see. Finally, my wife and I decided to rent it, just to get some friends off of our backs. We both thought it was the best comedy ever.

Why? It wasn't slapstick funny, or jokes, it was situations that we related to. We both work in an office and the personalities and things that happen are so close in that movie. It changed my whole outlook at work.

I actually work in a place very much like that in the movie. I am a programmer by trade, and they were. Anyone in a office would love to take the printer out in a field with a baseball bat. Maybe I will this afternoon.......
