Hey gang. I'm finally going through my photos and do some organizing. I have a few on flickr now, but that and other sites want yearly fees for more photos and organizing tools. Bu there are so many sites out there. kodak. flickr. smugmug. Something more than the print & share places like shutterfly and snapfish. Before paying for something I'd like to get some opinions.

Does anyone have a site they use to show off photos? When you join here, can you do that kins of stuff in the workshop? or is that limited.

Thoughts? discussion?

thanks

well here is my site and I am using smugmug and I love it, cause for galleries I dont want everyone to see I can hide galleries or show them but have them password protected also I can customize it just about anyway I want. One more thing is unlimited storage of photos you can upload and have.

Hey John

I have been using a site called Multiply to host my photos. Simply to display photos I find it really good, as I have not seen a maximum on the memory, just on the number of photos you can upload a month (Which I think is 150 per month).

the site is... www.multiply.com

You can see a sample on my site (shameless plug)

Both good ideas. I set up a multiply account, as it's free :) smugmug is good, but want to get my house more in order before I pay big bucks for such a service. Anyone else have suggestions?

btw - if you want to give what I have up at the moment... //johnmcboston.multiply.com/ I'll have to get more shots up this weekend - with all that 'free time' I have. :)

Mine are at //www.pbase.com/jdanderson if you would like to see what can be done there. They have different customizable templates. I pay a small fee for 400MB a year, but I think they also have a free version.

I am currently using Zenfolio.
Although I'm still waiting for a few more features (which they promised will happen in future upgrades), there are many things I like about that site (their slideshow being one of them).
