I was wondering if anyone has done any experimentation with the 20d and have used it up in the Iso 800 and Iso 1600 range, I was wondering how clear the photo was and how much noise there was in the photo overall.

I want to do some night shots, and want to use a high ISO for them, but am worried over the results. What image size do you think we would be able to get off of these sizes?

Thanks
Rich

Why the high iso? Is it a moving shot or is there alot of light that will blow solid colors if the exposure is too long?

Go to dpreview.com and read the review on the 20d. They have sample images at each iso level.

FWIW, our 20D was just horrible at high ISO; so bad that we sent it back to Canon 3 times to find out what the heck was wrong with it. It never really got much better, so that's why we moved up to the 30D's, which are just great at high ISO.

Yea, I am starting to do some night shots of a volunteer fire department and the lights from the truck cause some issues and normally its 8-9pm when we get the shots off.

I looked at the photos on dpreview, could really tell much from that size photo. To me anyways.
