| I purchased Photoshop CS2 from Adobe via download quite a while ago. Now, I bought a new laptop and I would like to install it on that computer as well. When I go to activate it either by internet or phone, it just fails activation. Does this mean I can't have CS2, which I paid for, on more than one of my own machines? |

I thought their license allowed you to have it on two personal machines, e.g. a desktop and a laptop. It is probably more a technical problem than a licensing problem -- you may have to call them tomorrow.

Also when uninstalling from other computers dont forget to deactivate or transfer activation.

I installed it on both of my machines without any problems. Was it up and running on the other machine while you tried to install it on the new one? That shouldn't be a problem either, but I'm just trying to think of any reason why it wouldn't install.

If you hadn't said that you tried by phone, I would have said most likely an internet connection error (firewall? proxy?...).
I installed CS2 at least 3x on my desktop (HD crashed once, then I upgraded to vista etc.), and once on my laptop, without any pb. It is allowed in the licence.
