I have a Nikon sb-600 flash.. I have used for about 6 months. Just now when it turns on the menu blinks and it doesn't go into standby mode unless the camera is off. It will also set off a random strobe every once in a while minutes.
I have not changed any configuration. I tried reseting it, replacing with fresh batteries, detaching from the camera and turned it on.

Can anyone help me figure what is going on here? Thanks.

Mine just did this same thing about 2 weeks ago. I called Nikon and they said it's fried.

I have to send it back to see if it's even worth fixing. In the mean time, I picked up an SB800. :)

I should also mention that it still works.... But now I wonder for how much longer.
