Its odd, a few of the comments on my Macro shot recommend the removal of two aspects purposefully used because [I feel] they support the main theme of the shot.
This makes me wonder if the photo is unsuccessful because this context is not being picked up on by some viewers. I did get one comment saying they liked that particular element though, so who knows.
Regardless, I like the photo.. I just find it interesting. |

I had a similar experience on my entry in the Book Titles challenge, which was coincidentally a macro shot:
Commenters were 3:1 against an element that I thought made it a better photo.
Fact is, I still like it, as you probably do yours.
