You can flip the entire photo side-to-side or upside down (or both).

You cannot copy and add a flipped image to make a new mirror-image composition.

Right. I guess I meant a flip around the north-south axis. What's on the left now appears on the right and vice versa. Thanks.

Yes, just flipping the photo like that is fine.

Flipping, rotating and inverting are all fine in Basic as long as it's applied to the whole photo.
