very cool! I like the composition and the close up shot to be able to see the details. Really wonderful. I would, however, like to see it in colour to understand why you might have chosen bw

I think your choice of B+W is good, as is your conversion. You really captured the depth, with good tonal range. There is a slight CW rotation of the pattern; I think it would be good to correct this. Also, consider how this might look as a duotone. Actually, I tried applying a "bronze" quadtone to it, and I do think it works very nicely.

Is this an Aztec calender??? I had one when i was growing up. I really wish i knew what happend to it. This is a great picture, both Colour and B&W. The one I had was Green in colour. Great lighting and nice off center crop for the photo. Aubrey
