Anyone that lives outside British Columbia, Canada probably has no idea what im talking about but oh well. With all the warm weather+ rain the snow on the mountains is melting way faster than normal. The dikes on the main river have been raised 2meters but they say that by next friday the water will breach. Luckily my house is high enough that there will be no damage but the whole town of Agassiz (small town in BC) is going to be flooded out, my Aunts house is at the WORST spot in Agassiz, her main floor is below ground level and will be completely filled with water as she is below the water line. So ya, next weeks gunna suck for lots of people. Might be without power for up to 5 days they say, if nothing else this will give me time to get some cool shots :P If you dont hear from me for awhile, thats probably why lol
edit: 1000th post :P

I lived in Yosemite for a while and my home was flooded with water 5 feet deep once. The worst part was the smell afterwards. That moldy, musty rotted smell. I had to throw away a lot of clothes from that incident.
To this day if I smell clothing that has been wet for 24 hours or more it makes me sick to my stomach. |
