Ive kinda made a mistake in buying a d40 I think now, but what can I do, cant take it back, it only cost me £290 in the end. But the lense thing is annoying. I think ive spent £535 on a d40 with two lenses. I could of got a canon 400d body and a normal lense, I feel a bit ripped off to be honest. But Ive already had 3 (yes 3) faulty pentax cameras before I got the nikon.

Ive now bought a Nikon 55-200mm AF-S DX VR F4-5.6 Lens which Im thinking I might take back, Ive got received it yet, are they any good or are they just rubbish?

I wish Id thought more about how much Id be spending, I never set out to spend over £500 though, so in a way it was unavoidable and I guess a d40 with stock lens and a 200mm vr lens isnt too bad? :(

I guess the d40 is alright, I understand d50,d70 owners dont like it as some reviews say it does slightly better pictures, thats a bit daft really. Anyway I guess after looking around there all quite similar really the d40,50, etc so its more down to the lens. I wouldnt buy a d40 now though the afs lens thing is ridiculous, but Im stuck, so Ill just have to pay more for my lenses. Its a bit strange how its a entry level slr, but if you want another lense there quite expensive...

Anyway, I need to take some photos :)
