Can anyone recommend a good source of setting preferences For photographers in CS3 (preferably free)? With our resident experts such as Bear_Music and stdavidson, Judi and others, I hope to receive help. Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by setting preferences?

You can personalize Photoshop to way you want it to work. In CS3 (and previous versions) go under the Edit Menu and in the drop down box click on preferences. It will be the last choice in the drop down box. The choices you get to change are: 1.General 2. Interface 3. File Handling 4. Performance 5. Cursors 6. Tranparency & Gamut 7. Units & Rulers 8.Guides, Grid & Slices 9. Plug-ins 10. Type. Graphic Designers can change it to suit them, photographers can change them, etc. For further info, check out the Photoshop Bible series by Deke McClellend. I haven't seen the one for CS# yet, but he has done them for 7, CS,and CS2.

The things I have done is added 100 history states and checked the mouse scroll wheel to control zoom in and out. So far.
