I'm looking forward to see some good photography related books here. A few days ago, i took this book from the British Library. "Photography - An Introduction: A Guide to City & Guilds 9231 Photography". It is really a good book for beginners.

Now please if someone know any other good book, please post the name here.

I have the Hedgecoe boos, nice but pretty basic, doesn't delve in to much, just a quick bit on everything.

I did see a great book last week though - can't recall it's title but it is a national geographic guide to photography - and looks superb, it's on my christmas list so fingers crossed I get it ;)
