My olympus only allows me to stich shots into a panorama. Is this legal on DPC?

Only if you can stitch them inside the camera.
Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong.

In either set of rules right now you are only allowed to use one image as taken in camera! I have seen someone use the side by side mode like my Olympus has (two shots that the camera puts side by side into one frame), but the shot got really crappy scores.

No I can;t stitch them in the camera. I can only do that with the software it came with. I do have the side by side function in the camera but I have to take two shots which makes me think it's illegal.
So, still wondering if I can do it in the camera software & it still be legal for DPC

No. Your entry must start as a single digital image downloaded from the camera. Stichting together 2 or more photos is definitely grounds for a DQ, unless it is something that can be done "in camera" and downloaded from the camera/memory card as a single image. |

That's beat! Hate my camera right now! Well... not really. Just had a funky idea for the next challenge. Thanks for the reply & info.

That was me - I tried it twice. One really deserved the crappy scores (Surprise challenge), but the other one (Aromas) did shockingly poorly, I thought. So, I'm done with 2-in-1 in challenges.
BTW - it's not illegal - both photos were referred for DQ consideration, and I submitted the info - 2 exposures, 1 picture - and it was not DQ'ed.
