So my Alienbees arrived today. But I can't seem to be able to remove the shipping plastic cover from the flash unit. Anybody know how to do that?

Squeeze the two things sticking out at the top then remove it.

EDIT: Two metal lever things.

The side with the light bulb is the front. Point that end where you want the light to go.

lol, I had the same problem when I got my AB's I twisted that thing left and right trying to unscrew it for 15 minutes then I read the instructions.

LOL Glad I'm not the only one (*sheepishly raises hand to admit he did this too*). I'm glad I figured it out before I went to town with a screwdriver trying to pry it off. Oh, the damage I almost did...

Always a good idea. My 5 year old got mad at his grandma yesterday (his birthday) for throwing the instructions off into the trash pile, before he could "read" them. BOY did she get it!
