Mayo is gross... oily and tasteless and... yuck!

I remember salad cream from my childhood and Scottish grandmother. I think it's maybe a blend of mayo, mustard, etc? I liked it then, but dunno if I would now.

I like Miracle Whip or most of the creamy dressings, but for fries I reallllly like tartar sauce :D (or poutine... mmmm, can almost feel the arteries harden )

Tartar sauce is essentially mayo and chopped pickles; so I guess for you chopped pickles make all the difference.

Mayo for me too, but I like ranch dressing on sandwiches for a little more flavor. Bob's blue cheese dressing is my favorite on homemade burgers though.

Mmmmmm, blue cheese dressing. Great with suicide buffalo wings.

Well, the kind I use is lower fat etc., but essentially, yup! Gives it the tang I like :)

I am well aware that it sounds disgusting, but if you mix an equal amount of Miracle Whip and mustard, it makes for a really good dipping sauce for steaks.

In Holland I've had peanut sauce with fries. First I couldn't wrap my brain around it, but man, it's good.

Peanut butter comes to mind but that can't be what peanut sauce is.

No, it is 'sateh' sauce. Better known as Indonesian Peanut Sauce. Also great with grilled chicken and pork, but extremely fat.

When you have fries with the peanut sauce, mayonaise, onions (and perhaps some curry sauce, we call it a patatje oorlog (warzone fries).

I can't do Chips and curry sauce... It's quite popular at various 'chippys' here. But it's not called anything special, just 'Chips and curry sauce'.

What, prey tell are 'Cheddar fries'?

You'd refer to them as Chips with shredded cheese melted over top.

I've always called it mayo, too. I wasn't sure if I knew the difference so I had to go taste some out of the fridge. If someone put that on my sandwich, I'd call it mayo.

But I'd always pick yellow mustard over any other condiment, regardless of it's usage.

Shredded cheese? Surely grated cheese...? Truely, two nations divided by a common language. :@)
