Its a newbie question im still new with my canon400D any one can tell me where to find the exposure lock .

It's the button next to the asterisk.
EDIT: Under the asterisk would probably be more clear.

| Push once to set the exposure for the shot. Push and hold to set and keep the exposure through multiple shots. |
