I bought a Digipower battery as a backup to the one from Nikon. When I first got it home, I charged it in the charger that came with the camera. When the charger stopped blinking to say it was full, I swapped it out for the nearly-depleted Nikon battery, and the camera said it was only at 2%. It read it as new in terms of recharging cycles left, though.
Then I did it again, and it read 98%.
Now after another session on the charger, it again was so low the camera wouldn't even turn on.
Grrr.
I've had good experiences with Digipower before. Before I take it back, I'm wondering whether anyone's had similar experiences, and whether they use the Nikon charger with anyone else's batteries.
Thanks.

I bought a couple from Best Buy for my D200 vert-grip and charged them up just fine with my Nikon charger. Don't remember the brand (and too lazy to go find them), but DigiPower sounds familiar.
Sounds to me you just got a bum battery. |
