I was just browsing through the top downloads for the last month on IStock and noticed that not only are 2 of the top 4 by DPC member  nico_blue (atta boy!) but only 3 of the top 10 were photographs!
Very surprising info for me. |

| Vector art is getting really popular on stock sites. I thought I saw something from nico saying that he was expecting to break $10K a month in sales sometime soon, probably already. |

| Yep - with 107 000 downloads - it looks like nico has been making some VERY tidy cash (particularly for a 21 year old!). |

eh, I figured out that I'd have to break $150k in sales per year to run a studio and pay the rent too, and that's here in Kansas where the cost of living is probably 30-50% less than New York, where I think Nico is.
Remember, he has to pay models, pay for studio rent/utilities, and whatnot. $120k/year is probably just paying the bills, he'll be getting some other stuff on the side to actually make a comfortable living.
Nothing to sneeze at though ;) |
