There are four new additions for the Kelsay family.
People across the street moved out and left behind all their cats. Most of them locked in the home. When the owner of the house came and opened it up they found them there, starving, some dead. All have new homes and of course we got this pretty girl which just birth to these .
Two had died, she kept going back to her old house to give birth. She was gone for few days, I searched everyday, until yesterday she came back. Me and the wife fed her and then followed her back and it looked as if she trying to move them somewhere. It rained very hard yesterday and I think they drowned. But we have them in a safe place. So we have a total of 6 cats and when the kittens are old enough we find homes for them of course I am keeping one. :-)
I really hate people that abuse animals. |

She's a very lucky cat to have come to the Kelsay family. To be honest after nearly 20yrs working at an spca I still don't understand the mentality of people who dump animals.
ETA the day it stops making me angry is the day I start looking for a new job

I'm so happy to hear about people like you, who are generous enough to help them. It makes me sick to think about the kind of people that would leave animals behind to die. They are lucky that you found them. :)

When will they be weened? I will be making a trip to OKC the end of June to close our house (sold) hopefully and I could just take the short drive north to get him/her. |

Kudos to you for stepping up to the plate! They are adorable :-) I just don't understand the stupidity of people who dump their pets; it is a huge problem in New Mexico!
One of our neighborhood stray moved her seven kittens into our yard a week-and-a-half ago; they were petrified of humans at that time but a few are already getting friendly! Wish I could keep them, but must find homes for them since we've already adopted five of this cat's kittens over the past year from two previous litters. The mom moves in with the cats when they are young, then just when they get old enough that I feel I can take her away from them and get her fixed, she moves out leaving us with the kittens; clever girl. I'm determined not to let her sneak away without getting fixed this time though!
