I think I know the answer to this, just want to make sure.
In Advanced editing, the SMUDGE TOOL is illegal, correct? or is it?

...if there was a shaft, a piece, a part, or something that had partial illumination, partial light, partial lumen's, can I continue the partial to be more continuous?
If this is legal, great.
If this is not legal, is there a way to do this edit legally?

You're probably OK there, as long as you're not creating entirely new shapes/patterns of light in the process.
Also FWIW, in Advanced, the workflow (how you get there) makes no difference at all, it's the result that counts. Therefore if something is illegal one way, it's illegal done another way. |
