Recieved this in an email from my brother in the Navy.
Some "graphic" images, but only if you can't handle actual facts.

Have You Forgotten

Truly poignant... And while I may not have completely forgotten, I no doubt need to be reminded every now and then.

Thanks for doing so.

(Now to share the same link with my friends and family.)

Nope. Haven't forgotten. Neither do I forget the intollerable loss of life that happens every day around the world due to similar circumstances. :(
... but thanks for the reminder anyway.

Nicely put KarenB.

Perhaps we need to think a little more internationally here, and take a good hard look at this american propaganda. No, I'm not saying that September 11th was not horrific, for it was. I think what we need to remember is that hundreds of people around the world die from much worse.

Similarily, as KarenB put it, the intollerable loss of life that happens everyday around the world due to similar circumstances, and in many cases similar circumstances caused by the hands of americans as well.

I don't think a reminder is needed, I think a rude awakening is.

If you don't take care of your home/country first, what would be the point of going international?
You call it propaganda? Looks more like respect and patriotism to me.

Respect and patriotism true. But from an american to an american. By the international sense, I meant working together to preserve international peace and stability for all. Look closely at all that is shown at that site, how is it not propaganda? Does it demonstrate the entire truth? No, it does not. It's called modern propaganda, and while if may appear to be respectful and patriotic to you, maybe you should consider all the lives lost leading up to September 11th, that may have lead to these attacks. Are you so sure it's not propaganda now?

P.S. - Before you take to great an offence to what I have said, this is not my actual opinion on the matter. I am not a pro-Taliban person. I am mearly trying to prove a point that not everything is as black and white in even a matter like September 11th. So please, don't start thinking bad things about me. I'm just trying to learn more myself!

Why are we paying Bechtel to build schools in Iraq when we have such an underfunded educational system here at home? Why are we off-shoring high-tech jobs while terminating unemployment benefits?

In the US, taking care of corporations is the order of the day, while the citizenry are s*****d.

I would not be amazed to find that we spend more money on Iran's educational system than ours. Not to mention all the rest of the money, people, and services we throw out to so many other countries.
