Wow, these are all really amazing.
It would be very helpful if you could give some insight into the lighting set-up for these images. |

I have a "default setting" in Lightroom that I use. The majority of these are straight out of Lightroom with minimal tweaks beyond my defaults. A few of them have already been edited, but only because my daughter wanted some 4x6's done. Since they were 4x6s, I didn't spend much time editing other than to clean up some of her mascara that had flaked. But I did adjust the lighting just a bit on a couple of those that I edited (mostly dodge and burn kind of stuff).
If you see anything specific that you want to know more about, I can look it up to see what I did. |
That is wonderful, and so are the pictures. I'm sure she will be very thankful for you doing that. You really did a wonderul job. I think I speak for everybody when I ell her we all said Congratulations...

If ever the chance were to arise, I'd definitely shoot Cindi. But alas, no, that's my daughter. (now to reload my shotgun to keep the boys away) |

Some of them are completely natural lighting. I have a habit of NOT shooting 100% natural lighting (using some kind of fill flash) and so I was trying to "push myself" a little. I noted a few comments posted on the images about dark eyes... that only makes me wish I had turned the flash on. I gotta get better at natural lighting!
Most probably have an on-camera flash (580EX) as fill light. But in the images where she is walking (strutting? dancing?) on the road, those were taking with an off-camera 420EX using a shoot-through umbrella to soften the lighting.

It really pays to have your dad be a kick-ass photographer. I bet she's got the best senior portraits of all her friends. :-)
