So, I've benn racking my brain fro a week now trying to come up with something creative for the vehicles challenge & I got nothing. I figured I didnt want to do anything too conventioanl or something that I think will be shot a lot by others like cars and stuff. I was thinking about doing a creative aspect of a car or doing a reflection type thing but the weather in NYC has not been too cooperative. I hate to miss out on the challenge & the fun of the competition but I don;t want to enter just to enter.

Any thoughts out there? Anyone else grappling with the same or different issues. Would love to be consoled by others in the same spot!

In NYC the classic possibilities are overwhelming: Taxis, subway, 80-story elevator, Staten Island Ferry (in poor taste, maybe?), pushcarts (any left?), roller-bladers, skateboarders, bike messengers, traffic helicopter, ships, trucks, trains, horse-drawn carriages, motorcycle, police horses -- maybe someone on a Segway.

Thinking of subjects is the easy part; the harder part is to think of a creative way to depict some essential aspect of your chosen subject. I don't want to get too much more specific than that.

THose are all excellent ideas some of which I thought of doing, including ricksaws which are now in Manhattan, but the weather has been so crappy that I figured they would be out. I hate taxis so I didnt want to do them. Couldnt think of an intersting way to depict the subway either.

I wanted to do a kid with a radio flyer but couldnt find a kid or a radio flyer. What to do?!

How about just a photo of a thousand people walking around...the feet/legs? That is a mode of transportation isn't it? Do it from a very low level...about 2 feet off the ground...a great perspective I think.

Hang out at a toy or department store for a while and I'm sure you'll find a model ... or a model train ...
