I am sorry if this is a really lame question, but I want to be sure before I accidentally make something explode.
Today I acquired an old Nikon D1 ΓΆ€“ which is very cool by the way ΓΆ€“ and I want to use it tonight for a shot. I have those cheap Gadget Infinity radio triggers that I use with my Canon gear ΓΆ€“ which also are quite cool. Is there any reason why, since I will not be directly connecting the flash to the body, that I cannot use the radio trigger on the D1 to fire my Canon 430 EX?
Thanks.

Should be no problem at all, for the reasons you gave.
