I'd say my most common emotion is curiosity. Whether it's something I think meets DPC's norms, or it's on the edge, I'm just intensely curious what the reaction will be, more from comments, but also from score. I'm not ever going to have a massive ribbon collection, so it's not a matter of going for the top score.
Very rarely, I'm genuinely excited and hoping for a good score. My color portrait entry was the last example of that, and my May free entry is the next one.
Also very rarely, I'm having fun and goofing around, hoping someone will laugh. My DPL album cover was in that category, as was my procrastination entry.

Okay, I'll bump this once and then give it up as a nonstarter. :)

A couple of times I've entered photos that I'm truly excited about, but mostly I'm just - curious I guess is a good term, so I'll use it too.
Being here, shooting for the challenges, is such a learning experience for me, so I'm always wondering how I'll do, if I met the challenge, etc.
I find I'm more eager for the comments than the scores though.

I am all over the place. My April Free Study I was super excited. My DPL album I was a bit anxious wondering how it woudl be recieved. My kitchenware entry I was calm as I didn't have any real expectations or attachments to the image. All depends on the image. |

- curiousity (current challenge)
- totally-know-I-got-a-good-chance-in-winning-a-ribbon-but-receive-crappy-score (different challenges)
- totally-know-I-got-a-good-chance-in-winning-a-ribbon-and-win-it!!!! (that feeling is the best, lol) |

I rarely shoot specifically for a challenge, so most of the time, I don't care.

excited and hopeful when I think I have a good shote
nervous and hopeful when I have a shot I think is good but will not be liked
and overall indifferent with shots I feel so-so about. Guess curious is a good word.
