i'd like to say, i'm also one of these type of voters :p
but if i find something catchy, i'll stay longer and even add it into my favourites.

Please tell me that I am not the only person on this site who does not care how/when/where/whatpeople do with their votes!

There must be others out there!

To be honest I really don't care. I get upset sometimes when people vote low like give out 1's for people that are usually in the top 25, but I know we have special people on this site and it's okay

I'm more worried about people "watching" me vote than I am about people voting fast ;P

Yes, for one second. I don't know about you, but I know pretty much instantly whether or not something I see appeals to me. I give a score of 8 to anything I think is worth a second look, and fine tune those, but if it doesn't appeal to me at first glance, further study isn't likely to change that. It may be worth noting that nine times out of ten, I have at least two of the ribbons in my top ten - so how "wrong" is this technique if I keep getting the best photos right anyway? Hmm.

I sort on a first run-through also, but I tend to vote low. Then I go back and re-sort and often raise people's scores. :-)

I divide numbers of entries for number of days.

lets say..500 entries..it would take me like 3 to 4 days to cast my vote. After voting I tend to look back on all the pic I voted.
Just would like to feel fresh on my voting day. :))

I like looking at it and wondering why people took the shot or how did they make the shot. Especially on very awesome shot..it's just feeling awe to look at it :))

WOW!

How do you see how fast someone votes?
EDIT:
Ooops, see the answer now. I vote pretty fast the first time through. I would think 5 sec would be the shortest time for me to look and vote. One of the ways I score a shot is by how long I want to look at it. The longer the better. (in most cases) ;)
I used to go back through and pick one of my top votes to make it a 10. (I've not voted many 10 on first look) Now with friend voting I don't raise any up to 10 any more. So the number of 10's I give out will probably be about 99 percent lower than it was.

If they are voting 1 photo per second, I doubt that they are even looking at the photo because it would take at least 1 second to locate and click on the number.

Locate? Click? I just use the right side of the keyboard for it.

Every time you refresh a user's profile page it increments their profile view by one. No wonder some of you have 10's of thousands of views. ;-)

It's called speedvoting.

Get with the plan.

It takes longer than 1 second for an image to load even on high speed.

i think when some people say they speed-vote in only 1 second, it was only a figure of speech. but i could be wrong.

Next Challenge I'm going to try and vote as fast as I can and blow up the server and my DSL line.

In my OP I was not taking a shot at anyone. I just happened to notice that when you vote (you meaning anyone) it updates in real-time on the profile page. I have a 22" LCD screen so most of the time I have two windows open at once. That night I did, my profile page on one side and a vote page in the other window. I notice when I voted my votes would go up by 1. Just curious I wondered if it was just real-time for viewing your own profile or could you see real-time results on other user profile pages. So I went and looked a few people up online and sure enough you could view their profiles in real-time as well. As I clicked refresh a couple of times I notice as fast as I could click refresh a few user votes had went up by one and sometimes two. So I spend about three minutes to see how fast these users were voting and it amazed me how quick.

That was the only purpose of my OP. Not to start anything, not to criticize, just found it surprising someone could vote that quick. Not me!

How do you know when the voter started looking at the image? How do you know how many voters are looking at the image at the same time?

It wouldn't matter how many people were looking at the image! and he's stating that by the time he refreshed his browswer(with high speed internet) that some users have made 1 or 2 votes after ever refresh
