is it a valid submission for a challenge? ;) though i did not see anything written as such that it is not valid. :) I know some would kill me for the copyrights :):) |

You may...
include existing images or artwork as part of your composition as long as the entry does not appear to consist entirely of a pre-existing photograph in order to circumvent date or editing rules or fool the voters into thinking you actually captured the original photograph.

It has been done in the past. On occasions it has been allowed through even though it was against the rules...but I do believe they have changed it to this rule -

A long time ago, I thought this was a cool idea. As you can see it didn't get dq'd but 140 out of 147th. |

It has been done many times, using it as a background for a photo. I did it recently of the "Kitchenware" challenge. People commented on "my" nice kitchen. I wish!
