That explains why some OPs get lots of responses and some get none. It doesn't really explain why the first person to provide an answer in a thread often gets ignored and then another person comes and repeats the exact same answer and is practically awarded the OP's firstborn!
Anyway, since I can't be bothered to go and find an example, I'll bow out.
I know it's something that crops up quite often, actually most often in threads where I'm not posting at all, but am following. |
*THAT* issue also has to do with timing, but mixed in with the fact that someone new to a thread won't bother to read the whole thing. This leads to people posting ideas that had been posted before, only seeing the second/third/fourth whatever post first and just responding to that, etc.
I've seen certain people come into a thread that is only 5 or 6 posts long and post something ENTIRELY unrelated to the conversation, but is a full diatribe on what they think the thread *TITLE* implies. lol.
Welcome to DPC, land of people that can't be bothered to read more than one or two posts (or many times no posts!) before they jump in to give their ever so important two pennies. |
