I'll try and keep this short while getting the info across...

I recently started experiencing problems with my email. Whenever I logged on to my XP username after someone else, my email would give me "failure to connect to the server" errors. My Hotmail account seemed to come through fine but my ISP and my emails through my domain were not coming through at all. I finally realized rebooting would fix the problem. I dealt with it for at least a week. Searching online found lots of people with the same problem but no answer. Finally, today I found a good thread. Apparently the latest Norton's and the Windows Updates don't play nice together and that is the problem. Norton's is offering a free upgrade (not extended service, just a free upgrade) to the 2007 version. I just finished downloading it and so far things appear to be working as they should be.

I think some 2005 Norton's users are having problems too.
