Rhythm 3 entries are up in the Challenge Results Thread. What a week for Team Minus!

I've been a photo-slacker lately, and missed getting in a shot in Street (a style I really like), but I did get something for this month's Free Study.

The Sunday Palm Beach Post has an article about the art exhibit where I won the blue ribbon for 'Grief'. They asked me for a three paragraph bio, so I thought there would be more than one sentence about me in the article. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom (some things never change for Team Suck). Well even a little bit of recognition is nice.

Congrats, Julianne, again! :)

And let's hear it for team minus, with three new personal top 5 shots.

Hi Suckers

Just me, saying hi, been super-busy lately. I'm in for Stones and Street Photography shot is clambering out of the high 4s to 5 territory.

Must go upload picture of Fifi to my portfolio, don't know if I resized it or not...but if it turns out real big, well, she's a real big hoss!

Bye for now

Edit: dang, don't have pic of fifi on card like I thought, oh well, will upload it soon!

Yay Julianne! Congrats - one sentence is all it takes sometimes. Plus your photo is there too which makes it sweeter.

Susan, you have a horse named FiFi? Was it crossed with a poodle?? :-)

Thanks for the PM, and you're welcome!

So, the reason I was thanking Deb and Catherine had to do with my rhythm entry. Deb explained my photo better than I did, and Catherine favorited it, both without knowing I was the photographer.

I am very happy with my Suckitude these days. My photos lately have a little oomf to them, even if it oomfs them right out of a good score.

And thus doth the fearless leader demonstrate the true TS approach. :)

I need some feedback on a possible entry for one of the current challenges. Is anyone willing to accept not voting on my image if they see it next week, and maybe answer a couple questions for me?
07/30/2007 01:43:25 PM · #1911
I'll be happy to. I have a hard time voting in challenges due to connection speed anyway (though I am going to try to get through Street if at all possible!) Not an expert at anything but willing to give opinions.

Sure. I can make a habit of it with TS Robs - just did the same for Rob Heverly. :)

Haven't been in any challenges for awhile, but I have one in the July free study.
07/30/2007 11:13:50 PM · #1915
I'm in for Triumph (might get a 5.5) and Free Study (which I usually bomb). Next weekend I'll be in California, so the Sunday update might be a little late.

Very nice, Christian - just voted!

And now...since there is about week left for voting, a shameless plug for my own JPG entry:

Hehehe...well Deb, thank gawd she's not my horse, she's very sweet natured and kind, but simply IMMENSE. Fifi (she likes that name over Fiona) is a 5-yr-old Clydesdale mare who stands a good 17 hands high (one hand equals four inches, so three hands to a foot)..that means Fifi is 5'8 at the withers, aka horsey shoulderblades.

Oh yeah, did I mention that she weighs around 1700 lbs?

Anyway owner wants Fifi to be going under saddle, so I've not got on her yet but am getting her used to being tacked up and worked from the ground first. So the first day I put my tack on her, it looked so absurd I took a pic. You'd swear it was a kid's pony saddle on her.

Soo, now all I have to do is get the pic resized and onto a card so I can upload it to my portfolio, for the enjoyment of all, lol!

Actually got some voting done yesterday, and my Street shot just broke 5. Whoohoo! Good comments so far too.

Edit: PS Deb, believe it or not...Fifi's owner does have two black Standard Poodles in that foofy show clip, so yes, here is a poodle element too!!!!

LOL!! Why in the world would anyone want to ride a Clydesdale? Get the poor horse a cart to pull and a dalmation to sit in it. Or I suppose those fluffy poodles would do....

My Street is low 4's with positive comments from Jutilda, JPR and jblaylockrayner... classic suckage!

I really dunno, but some people like to drive ginormous SUVs too...actually they are quite comfy, so long as they're not so broad that they're like sitting on a barrel! I also ride a Clyde/TB x named Brio, and she has lovely movement. Basically Brio has Clyde styling but TB spirit and energy, which Fifi (thankfully) lacks. But then they do breed heavies for dead calm temperaments.

So how's it over there in hot sandy places near a gulf you can't see? Hey...sounds like the opening line to a Neil Young song...

Chuckle. I'm trying to imagine my Girl Scouts on a Clydesdale. Some of them were nervous on smallish horses.

Thought I'd share a picture of the scenery at work. :-)
