That's fine, just please don't put "between 3 and 3 and a half hours". Or even, "you can decide to leave them steaming for an extra ten minutes if you want to." How would I know if I want to? :) No pinches or "drops of" either, please :) Proper measurements only, please (in any measure, I can convert just fine). Even so, I'm an awful cook (though I make great sushi!!), but don't worry, my wife (who's a great and intuitive cook) will "help" (ie, cook) when we do it . . .

Funny you should mention tamales, Rob. We're off on our cruise in about 90 minutes, which will include a stop in Cozumel, Mexico. :)

Before I go, I thought I'd share one photo from our DC GTG, inspired by Noraneko and improved immeasurably by her timely advice to underexpose!

Just thought I'd stop by and say goodbye - I'm off to Madagascar tomorrow. Just got a polarizing filter last minute, I'm now officially all set.

Do all take care of yourselves, and check my portfolio in about 2 months time for an extensive collection of lemur shots :)

Wow, everyone have a great time on their trips!

Cozumel is great. I had a blast there. Make sure if you eat outside of the "resort" area restaurants, that you get your drinks bottled.

lol, Jeb you are not annoying...now flaky, well...No, JUST KIDDING, JUST KIDDING!!!! I think it's very cool that she's into photography as well, my daughter is too, we have a blast together going out and shooting. Of course she can!!! at least as far as I'm concerned...

My daughter came from Cozumel. Think '93/94 winter....we were there from the 17th to the 24th of March and our daughter was born December 28th, '94.

Well, I'm in for Weekend and Free Study.....Weekend's cutesy clever but hokey and potentially lame, but I like it anyway. It'll probably be in the low 4s. My Free Study is hard to say where it'll go.....I'm hoping for mid 5s and I know you'll all love it when I tell y'all the story.

i am in free study its at 6.4 with 5 votes, but i think it will go down from here. i was hopeing for a mid 5 but figure it will wind up under 5.

But i like it, i tried something new and learned alot working on it

So I bought this Beroflex F8 500mm lens off a buddy of mine for $75 and this is what a shot of the moon looks like with it. It's full manual so since I normally have a gauge and all to help with settings, it's hit n' hope. Thoughts?

I posted this by mistake in the reactions thread (no one reacted, which is probably good):

I seem to be a little challenge crazy right now. I'm in Burst of Color II (currently at a non-sucky 6.2), Sci Fi (where I entered a sucky image with a purpose, currently at 4.8) and my first Free Study since January (and probably my last until next January, currently at 4.5 with 8 votes, but I like it!).

Hi guys and gals! Sorry, been busy shooting and meeting people and such, so I haven't had a lot of time to visit here. I *will* put up pictures here in a bit. Our lovely Svetlana is indeed VERY lovely in person. She's a tiny little thing but has the energy of a small nation. A delight to watch as she works, too. She'll post all the good shots of models, I'm quite sure. She does have one teensy little annoying habit - she keeps trying to take pictures of me. (Heh.)

The day was awesome yesterday - four workshops, from low-key nude (the ladies all got Serdar as the model - dang) to makeup and model shoots, to Gary's magic with post-processing. (And ladies, I didn't get any really good shots of the lovely Serdar, but I'm pretty sure Svetlana and Crystal do.)

Pictures later - need to edit a quick few then post 'em. I have access at a horribly expensive price until at least this evening. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
